Building Capabilities program

Program Aims

• To improve the level of capability for research data management and research access to data across Australia by partnering with willing institutions

Program Overview

The Capabilities program will:

• Build capacity and capability across the data lifecycle in organisations, systems, services and people
• Establish a forum of data stewards who are responsible for providing retention and access services to research data
• Document community accepted standards for data retention, curation and access services
• Develop curriculum and other support materials for a certificate-based qualification in research data management to assist organisations in training staff
• Provide curriculum materials and guidance to the research community
• Assist with integrating research and government intrumentality repositories and registries with core ANDS utilities
