Providing Utilities program

Program Aims

• To ensure technical and operational services are provided so that repositories can be aggregated into federations to underpin the development of a research data commons
• To ensure that services develop and evolve to meet changing data reuse requirements

Program Overview

The Utilities program will:

• Provide utility services to enable a cohesive network of data collections 
• Provide discovery, access and use across the research data they hold

The Utilities program will be useful for:

• Content providers and consumers in the data commons
• Data facility managers and administrators
• Research communities building and operating (new or already existing) data federations
